We caught up with Illamasqua’s Head US Artist Andrea Helgadottir on her inspirations for the Threeasfour Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear Fashion Show...

"The Threeasfour Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear Fashion Show was filled with bold, rich patterns inspired by both Islamic and Israeli cultures. On the runway we saw a melting pot of strong statement symbols mixed with light fabrics to create a beautiful yet powerful collection."

Andrea headed up our fantastic team to create a fresh look with Illamasqua with the emphasis on the eyes.
Helgadottir exclusively revealed her inspiration to us -“I was inspired by the evil eye symbol”

To Get the Look...

Using our Foundation Brush and just a pea sized amount of the Rich Liquid Foundation, Andrea created a base with a velvet finish. To create glowing, luminous skin she applied Illuminator in Halcyon to the cheek bones. The ivory pearl color created a fresh dewy face perfect for bright eyes.

The eyes were the main focus of the look and Andrea channeled the evil eye by coating the inner corner of the eye to the middle of the lid with Liquid Metal in Superior. The metallic cobalt blue color made the eyes pop. The eyes were finished with a dusting of Pure Pigment in Beguile over the entire lid to add a light iridescent shimmer.

To accentuate the lashes Andrea used our new Masquara to lengthen and define each lash.

With the focus on the eyes, she complimented the look with a nude lip of Intense Lipgloss in Façade.
