Behind the scenes as the MYER show...

Violet from Violetlebeaux provided this behind the scenes write up of the Myer show in Australia…

Earlier this week I was fortunate enough to be invited backstage to the Myer S/S 10/11 fashion show rehearsals to get a glimpse of Illamasqua's stunning make-up designs for the night.

Head make-up artist Nicola Burford and the Illamasqua team executed the looks with absolute precision as 1950's style and old Hollywood glamour ruled the catwalk.

It was a tribute to everyone's professionalism how surprisingly calm behind the scenes was as the team gave the models the royal treatment. Even at the most hectic points during dress rehearsal the team were completely efficient and created meticulous looks.

Bold lips, winged eyes and lovely lashes were applied to compliment the tall beehive hair styles the L'Oreal team were creating for the girls.

Each look was complimented with perfectly manicured nails using Illamasqua's Bacterium, from the new Toxic Nature collection.

While I didn't get to see the avant garde looks being created during the day I hear they were also spectacular and some involved diamantes being applied to the girl's faces.

Nicola and the whole team did an amazing job and it was a wonderful treat to be able to see them work so closely.
